    The high school cheer program promotes school spirit, teamwork, and athleticism through dynamic performances and community engagement. Cheerleaders build leadership skills and confidence while supporting school events, sports teams, and competitions.

    The Foster High School Chess Club meets twice a month to give students a fun and supportive space to learn and enjoy the game of chess. During meetings, members practice strategic thinking, problem‑solving, patience, and sportsmanship as they play friendly matches and learn new techniques. Students also strengthen skills such as planning ahead, recognizing patterns, making thoughtful decisions under pressure, and reflecting on their choices to improve future gameplay. The club welcomes players of all experience levels and encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and a love of learning through the challenge of chess.

    Expose Excellence Youth Program, founded by Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton, offers an after-school program focused on preparing youth to become leaders in their schools and communities. Weekly topics include leadership, conflict resolution, resume building, volunteering, advocacy, and professionalism.

    Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the UN where students represent countries and debate urgent issues such as war and, human rights. Prestigious universities such as Harvard, Yale, and Princeton host these conferences, connecting delegates worldwide. FHSMUN brings that experience to our school, giving you the chance to engage with real-world challenges on a global stage.

    The high school Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program empowers students to make a meaningful impact by learning about community needs, grantmaking, and nonprofit leadership. Participants develop civic responsibility, teamwork, and decision-making skills while funding real projects that benefit their communities.

    The LCISD Service Cord program recognizes high school students who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service by completing a designated number of volunteer hours. Through meaningful engagement and civic responsibility, students earn a graduation cord that honors their dedication to making a positive impact.
