A Message from your FHS Principal

"Feedback is the breakfast of champions."
-Ken Blanchard

Dear Falcon Family,

Now that we're into the second grading cycle, I'd like to collect some feedback about how you feel things are going at Foster.  In reviewing last year's School Climate Survey results, one of our strengths was the visibility and responsiveness of our team.  We want to keep that going and make sure that our community feels comfortable telling us about our performance.  Please be honest, and provide constructive comments about how you are feeling at this point in the school year. The survey linked below is only two questions, and all responses are anonymous.

Friday, October 9th and Monday, October 12th are student and staff holidays.

This week, students in grades 9-11 will be taking the PSAT. 10th graders on Tuesday, 11th graders on Wednesday, and 9th graders on Thursday. Fourth period may be extended slightly and some classes will be held in alternate locations in order to accommodate testing, but the daily schedule will remain the same for students who are not testing.

Our Foster Band and Guard once again did very well at the South Region Bands of America Competition, and eared best in their class for the 2nd year in a row! Our water polo, tennis, and cross country programs will be participating in district playoff competitions this week. Best of luck to our students as they represent Foster.

Homecoming is this week!.  The dance will be held on Thursday, October 8th, and the football game will take place on Friday, October 9th at Traylor Stadium.  More information about the dance can be found in this week's newsletter.  Be sure to participate in the Spirit Week dress up days.  Have fun and show your school spirit!

Please review the information in this week's newsletter. Should you still have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact your child's assistant principal or counselor as listed below. Together we SOAR!

These devices are to remain off and completely out of view onsite for the entirety of the school day.
