"In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision."

There has been a very positive energy from our student body this year. I can feel it in the hallways and classrooms each day. This is in no small part due to the attitude our staff brings to work - choosing to smile, offer help, and get to know our students. Thank you to them for truly living our theme of Energy and Engagement! It makes a difference. Congratulations to our teacher and staff members of the month, Ms. Shanele Farmer and Ms. Misty Carter. Both are great examples of the power of positive energy! In addition, our students are doing an amazing job of spreading positive vibes and doing what they are supposed to do. IDs are on, they are following dress code, and they are working hard. Let's keep it up!
Homecoming is quickly approaching. The dance will be held on October 8th, and the game will take place on Friday, October 9th. More information about the dance can be found in this week's newsletter.
I hope that everyone has a chance to get some rest over the coming long weekend. If you can, come cheer on our football team at their first District game against George Ranch tomorrow at Paul Scherer stadium at 7:00. Tennis, Volleyball, Water Polo, and Cross Country all had a great week of competition and racked up great results! Congratulations to our coaches and athletes for their success and hard work.
Please review the information in this week's newsletter. Should you still have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact your child's assistant principal or counselor as listed below. Together we SOAR!
