Foster High School Newsletter

September 13

A Message from your FHS Principal

"May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right."
-Peter Marshall

This week is the last week of the first six-week grading cycle. Students- be sure to check your grades, talk to your teachers, and make sure you've completed all of your work.  If you need help, see the tutorial schedule included in the newsletter.

Many thanks to those who came out to help celebrate Foster's 25th Anniversary!   It was truly special. Open House went smoothly, and there was a great turnout of parents, students, alumni and staff.

This month we observe Hispanic Heritage Month.  It is a time to reflect and recognize the achievements and contributions of others, and the rich culture that helps make our country great.

September is also Attendance Awareness Month.  Please take a moment to discuss with your family the importance of being present at school.  We know that life happens, but there is no substitute for showing up and working hard every day. If you or someone you know is struggling with attendance, be sure to reach out to your teacher, counselor or assistant principal.  We can help!

Please review the information in this week's newsletter. Should you still have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact your child's assistant principal or counselor as listed below. Together we SOAR!

Christopher Wood
